When life gives you lemons

You drop them on the ground as you struggle with your take out containers.

Then you are sad, because your lemons are ruined.

Sometimes you can’t fix something. That thing is over. It is not coming back. It cannot be salvaged.

Obviously I’m not talking about lemons.

But you can take comfort in the fact that Christ makes all things new. He will wipe away every tear, but not yet.

Sometimes things happen that hurt and you can’t fix it, and all you can do is accept it.

Sometimes there isn’t even a lesson so you can do better next time.

That’s sometimes what we’re called to, what God asks us to bear.
